Dirt Avalanch in Albuquerque

This was some video I caught while we had some record rains here in Albuquerque New Mexico. Just to give some reference that dirt wall is about 40 feet tall. Some people had come up and walked up to the edge. Lucky they didn't fall to their death.

Wait- You're in Albuquerque? I guess I won't call to see if y'all wanted dinner tonight.

My favorite part is that for you those people were not in danger of just falling, but falling "to their death."

6 foot fall = 50% chance of fatality

40 foot fall into rock filled rapids = 99% chance of fatality.

It's not the fact that it was deadly, but the fact that you chose to emphasize that in your writing.

oh, yeah maybe cause I was thinking it's hard to tell by the video the magnitude of the fall.

I was presenting a paper for work at a system safety conference. I'm back home now.
