Induction Cook'n!

Replaced the nasty inefficient old cooktop I had in my new house with this sleek new induction cooktop from GE.   This is the big 36" PHP960DM2BB  So far all but our cast iron cookware are non-ferrous so they dont work.  We did test out boiling some water in a thick cast iron skillet.  It took about 3 seconds to boil up a thin layer of water with that thing.  Also was able to put a paper towel under the pot (to stop any scratching) and put my hand right on the burner after lifting up the pot.  Best thing about this is that I got it off Craigslist for $500!

Out with the old 1976 resistance coil oven.  Craiglisted this and sold it for $20

Sink Upgrade

Before shot, unfortunately dont have a b4 shot of the faucet, it was ugly, leaky and calcified.  Below was nasty with a rotted out garbage disposal that flung its contents around underneath.  Old funky routed piping.

Everything was replaced other than the actual 4 hole sink.  Not sure what to do with the last hole, but thinking putting a lotion dispenser.  New disposal is a 1 hp Waste King, much quieter.

Total Cost was a couple trips to home depot for $40 worth of pipes, drains, floorboard and $245 on Amazon for the Faucet and 1 hp disposal.

Daphne in Disney 40+ Inches Tall

Daphne had her first experience in Disney and California Adventure being over 40 inches tall. Got to go on lots of new rides. She handled all the coasters like a champ. No fear.
