HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

It seems we might have a tradition of going out to Moapa for a treat of illegal fireworks on July 3rd. For the past two years it's been a fantastic display of mortars and missiles. This year Donovan grew to enjoying the fireworks beyond the booms that initially scared him.

The place is non-stop fireworks from over a dozen of groups setting them off. I can just imagine the aftermath in the morning.

6 foot 1 inch?

Here's Donovan on his 2nd birthday. I measured his height to be 2'11.5". I've heard that at 2 yr old, humans are half their adult height. For boys you double the height and add 2 inches and for girls you double then subtract 2 inches. So perhaps donovan will end up being 6'1" tall.

Birthday Boy

Last thursday was Donovan's 2nd birthday. What a better way to celebrate than to stick him into the arms of some loon in a rat suit! He did get uncomfortable on the rat, but he really loved the slides and play area inside chucky cheese. After 4 hours of playing we had to take him kicking and crying away from the place.

Thanks to everyone who was able come.

Oh, and Donovan Loves the piggy bank.

Just have to teach him to get the balls into the 100,000 pt shute.

Dentist

Went to the dentist on tuesday for the second time in 12 years. Turns out they said I have the best "virgin" teeth they have ever seen and to keep doing what im doing. Looks like you get rewarded when you do the right thing and brush your teeth once a day.

They said I would be an ideal candidate for their whitening process they offer. I'm sure they were just trying to sell their product but im considering it. Anyone have experience with doing the in-office 2 hour whitening?

Driveway Saved

So after arguing with the sales lady and he explaining that any color could come out as ANY other color (she literally said that brown is just as likely to come out blue or red). Anyhow, after dismissing the twit and exchanging my left over stain for the black stain, I was able to save my driveway. I do like the results and Will be doing the rest of my concrete this way.

Stain Crazy

So I went down the concrete accessories store this weekend and picked out a concrete stain that showed its color would turn out like this.


I applied it to my drive way and it turned out like this.

I research on the internet and find that there are two websites demonstrating this stain. One had the same sample shown above, the other website had this color shown which is more how mine turned out.

So now i'll be finding out if I can get my money back and re-stain over this orange color with a dark brown.

Tips for del taco?

don't know if you can make it out, but this cup has Tips written on it. It was in the drive through. Starbucks had one too on their drive through. What the hell? Tipping for drive through service?

San diego weather is great. 62 degrees today. How nice we can watch animals in captivity.

AKs are fun!

Brought my AK out for a group shooting last weekend. First time I shot it since I bought it. They are fun and can be bump fired very very quickly. I'm now contemplating my next purchase being a 75 or 100 rnd drum. They'll probably get real expensive when Hillary becomes president.

METRO crime Lab

So last weekend Metro held a Metro Family & Friends open house at the new crime lab. Here's some pics from what I thought was the most interesting part of the tour, the firearms toolmark examiners area.


Vanessa is standing next to the bullet capture tank. and I'm taking the picture from the end of a small gun range. The bottom of the tank had marks on it from where the examiner said 40 caliber rounds tended to bottom out.


All the guns were located in a small locked room. They had some REally nice Guns from an older drug dealer known as "Grandpa Doper". Some of his Shotguns were valued at $60,000.00. Real fine arms, who says crime doesn't pay? I can't afford such fine weaponry. Below is a grainy shot of his shotguns.

House Shooting

Who's that guy with a gun in my doorway? He's an actor from CSI New York. My neighbor is directing and producing a short film and asked to use my house last night. So Vanessa being the entrepreneur she is traded a slumber party for the use of our house. They did about 4 takes on this scene, the first of which my son was in the shot. I think they will be using the last take for the film though. My neighbor tells me the film will premier at CineVegas film festival and be viewed at all the other film festivals.

Charger

Man I like the new charger. Saw this one tonight while I was at the police dept picking up my stolen liscence plate. The car is really nice shaped. I wonder if I could fit inside it? About my liscense plate, got a call today from a cop saying my green 4 door titan was abandoned. Turns out some prick stole my plate and switched it out with another plate. Funny thing is that I noticed my plate rattling in the wind yesterday which it had never done b4.
